About Dr. Hurt
K. Joseph Hurt, MD, PhD, is a board certified Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is board-certified in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
Dr. Hurt's approach to patient care is in education and partnership to achieve the best care and outcomes for his patients. He strives to listen carefully and addresses concerns, while providing the care and commitment that he would want for his own family. He received his medical degree and completed his OB-GYN Residency at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship training was done at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
Dr. Hurt is also the director of the Preterm Labor Research Laboratory located at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, Anschutz Medical Campus. The goal of the Preterm Labor Research Laboratory is to understand reproductive physiology and apply those findings to improve the health of women and infants.
